Because Art Matters Gallery
From the walls of Because Art Matters Gallery to the global stage, this exhibition is an invitation to resist, to dream, to imagine. An invitation to go beyond, to embrace the ineffable beauty of the world, but also of the vast and deep cosmos where the thread that leads to our origins lies hidden.
Held as one of the most innovative artists in the global contemporary urban art scene, RAM is a creator of visionary worlds that express humanity’s primal desire to explore the vast unknown of both the cosmos and the mind.
In PAREIDOLIA “the tendency for perception to impose a meaningful interpretation on a nebulous stimulus, usually visual, so that one detects an object, pattern, or meaning where there is none”, RAM invites us to explore a series of works created over the last decade, in which a glimpse of the beyond, of infinity, that William Blake described in 1790 when he challenged us to open the doors of perception, reigns supreme.
Divided into four distinct yet articulated sections, these works reflect a practice of visionariness that owes as much to graffiti art – the root and foundation of the artist’s practice – as it does to psychedelic art, worldbuilding, geographical exploration or the exercise of altered states of consciousness.
