Margarida Fleming is a self-taught Portuguese painter, with a background in Architecture and Graphic Design.
The personages seem to be uncovered, like the enigma in their eyes had escaped from within, other times they are haughty, challenging and focusing all attention on the facial expression.
The strokes that build their faces, deeply expressionist, are dense. Unravel the humanity that conceals the traits, because it defines everything we distort in our image, our life. The human geography of her paintings surrounds the mystery, in the emotions map defined by quick strokes and hyper realistic eyes.
She has participated in several individual and collective exhibitions in Lisbon, Porto, Macau and San Diego.
